The Student Services Advisor will provide assistance and service to students, and will support the Student Services Coordinator with daily initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Monitor student progress reports to ensure students maintain satisfactory academic progress and proper attendance.
- Assist students with resources including, but not limited to, tutoring assistance, outside agencies that specialize in childcare services, housing, and financial resources.
- Reach out to students and correspond with professionalism and empathy while adhering to all FERPA requirements.
- Guide students to the proper personnel to resolve issues and challenges.
- Assist campus staff to resolve student concerns in placement, financial aid and admissions.
- Document all student communication appropriately.
- Assist with Course Reschedule, Change of Status, and Leave of Absence forms.
- Track, monitor, and facilitate documents for re-entries and re-enrollments.
- Assist with new student initiatives, workshops, and success programs.
- Assist with the new student orientation programs.
- Assist students with electronic resources.
- Assist in planning and implementing student activities such as graduations, student appreciation days, and monthly student recognition events.
- Assist with building and maintaining a calendar of events for compliance-related topics and events to promote a strong campus community.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree required.
- One (1) year of experience advising students in a post-secondary education
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal and word processing/computer skills, Math skills.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education or experience that meets the minimum qualifications.
