Launched in the fall of 2018, ITGL is an 11-month, in-person Master of Science in Education program designed to prepare international educators to become innovative education leaders with the knowledge and skills to transform schools, systems, and other fast-changing learning environments around the world. The program has experienced remarkable growth in its first four years and will grow further with the leadership of a passionate, energetic, bold, and enterprising new Director. The ITGL Director reports to the Department Chair, Innovative Teaching and Leadership (ITL) with a secondary reporting relationship to the Director of the Center for Technology in Education. The School of Education seeks an entrepreneurial leader with expertise in international graduate-level education to advance ITGL in distinctive, measurable ways within an increasingly competitive market. As the primary representative and advocate for ITGL, the Director works with Program faculty, students, and administration to envision and lead the development of new capacity and growth in ITGL while maintaining exceptional academic quality. Candidate profile The School of Education is a young, enterprising part of a great research university with a decentralized budget and financial structure that enables units to define their own incentives and invest strategically in growth areas. In this environment, ITGL's new Director will have the opportunity to shape the program for its next decade of distinction and success.
Candidates will possess a strategic orientation towards education as a business and demonstrated success in international academic program leadership, including new market development and curriculum innovation. Candidates will demonstrate a high level of energy, creativity, and initiative, a proven commitment to fostering student learning and excellence in teaching and educational leadership, and a record of advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience in new program development and a consultative, transparent leadership style are important attributes, as are the ability to navigate a complex, decentralized institutional culture, a high tolerance for ambiguity, and a solution-focused orientation.
The School of Education expects to establish a tenure system by the start of the 2023-24 academic year. If the Director's credentials qualify them for tenure, conversion to a tenured professor position will be possible.

? Doctoral degree in Education or a related field or professional experience deemed equivalent 2
