PROJECT POLICY ANL 4 (Global Partnership Manager)
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of and in collaboration with the Associate Vice Provost of Academic Programs, the Global Partnerships Manager shapes and supports the development of global partnership strategy, manages the process of partnership building with institutions abroad, collaborates with other units at UC Davis to grow comprehensive global partnerships, and manages the strategic collection and communication of relationship data in support of the strategic plans of UC Davis and Global Affairs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Occasional assistance setting up for events or visiting delegations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education/Experience:
• Experience using and adapting as necessary various software programs (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software, case management systems, etc.) to accomplish assignments.
• Experience working with university faculty in a variety of programs and settings.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA) :
• Analytical and critical thinking skills to conduct research and analyze information from multiple sources and to summarize findings into clear and concise written format using text, graphics, and tables.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills to articulate essential information in a timely manner to or on behalf of university officials and to external partners. Interpersonal and communication skills (including public speaking and large presentations) to present information to diverse groups in a variety of settings.
• Ability to manage and implement projects independently in support of long-range, strategic objectives. Knowledge of international education interests and needs and the ability to identify and promote mutually beneficial interests and needs between UC Davis and potential partner institutions.
• Skills using computer systems, including database management and web site maintenance.
• Ability and aptitude to work both in teams and independently, with demonstrated experience showing initiative to proactively develop programs and make decisions. Professional acumen to handle sensitive or difficult situations with discretion and to recognize and protect the confidentiality of highly sensitive or controversial information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Education/Experience:
• Extensive higher education experience, including experience developing partnerships with higher education institutions located outside the United States.
• Experience working with constituents from diverse racial, economic, and cultural backgrounds and perspectives.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
• Knowledge of the international/global education environment and trends pertaining to
• educational collaboration and outreach, including trends in international higher
• education partnerships.
• Familiarity with international education/research activities and related political, social
• and cultural issues.
• Knowledge of institutional policies, risk management, cross-cultural concepts, and best practices regarding academic activities abroad.
• Proficiency in one or more languages other than English.
