Longwood Gardens is seeking a full-time Domestic & International Studies Manager to join our Engagement & Learning department. The Domestic & International Studies Manager will provide operational support to the Director, Domestic and International Studies by managing the daily program needs of the Professional Horticulture students and instructors; mentoring students in all Domestic and International programs; and fostering positive relationships with external organizations and internal teams to support student success. Responsibilities include: • Oversee student work evaluations for all domestic and international programs. • Provide professional skills to Longwood Gardens’ college and university interns, and international interns and trainees. • Foster positive relationships with external organizations and internal teams to successfully meet the goals of the Domestic and International programs. • Actively participate in the dissemination of intellectual capital and serve as an ambassador of Longwood Gardens at conferences and related professional development. The ideal candidate will possess: • Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture or a related field preferred • Minimum of 3 years of experience in education with an emphasis on immersive learning and student mentoring • Excellent written and oral communication and listening skills • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate, and respect for confidentiality • Excellent program management, planning, and organizational skills • Highly logical with strong attention to detail • Exemplary team leadership, mentorship, and professionalism • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Learning Management Systems • Previous experience with international students, alumni organizations, and the horticulture/agriculture industry is preferred
