The International Support Services office provides services for more than 2,100 international students representing over 100 different countries. The Student Engagement team leads the international student engagement efforts at KU.

The International Student Engagement Coordinator will work under the primary supervision of the Assistant Director for Student Engagement in ISS in supporting the three main pillars of international student engagement: orientation and integration, social programming and events, and academic and cultural support.

Orientation and integration will include planning and implementing the orientation programs for new international students prior to fall, spring, and summer terms, and creating programs that contribute to the integration of international students into the larger student community.

Academic and cultural support will include strategic outreach and engagement with international students on campus, including in-person meetings, in order to provide resources that will assist students encountering academic or social barriers.

Social programming and events will include planning and facilitating extra-curricular community-building programs and social events for international students.
