Job Summary

As the Yield Recruiter, you are responsible for building and executing a plan to provide concierge level service to potential students and their families considering admission to Purdue's Computer Science program. With a potential applicant pool of almost 9,000 annually, this individual will be available to answer questions from potential students both by e-mail and phone. When an in person campus visit is desired, this individual will work with the student and families to ensure that the visits are a success and all questions are answered. The goal for this position will be to maintain the high yield of quality students to the Computer Science department.

What We're Looking For:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required.
• Two (2) - Three (3) years of experience in the area of student services, academic advising or student recruiting
• Experience needed in developing and coordinating programs and/or general customer service

Preferred:

• Previous experience working with diverse students in secondary school or higher education

Skills needed:

• Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation), interpersonal, planning, problem-solving, organizational and project management skills, especially with prospective students and their families
• Ability to foster an inclusive work style that utilizes teamwork to create an environment of collaboration with peers
• Able to:
• manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail and follow-through
• understand and communicate the goals and programs of the Computer Science major in the College of Science
