SUMMARY

The Engagement and Admissions Coordinator will work as part of the Community Outreach & Engagement Team whose primary responsibility includes engaging and creating community partnerships that drive recruitment, admissions, process intake documents, and generate revenue streams including community donations. The coordinator will work across New York programs to reach their admission goals.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with all of the program leads to assess their particular enrollment needs.
  • Facilitate weekly in-person and virtual information sessions for prospective enrollees
  • Provide weekly reporting on information session attendance, application submittals, and leads
  • Follow up with information session attendees, new contacts and applications for all programs
  • Track youth (18-24) information session attendance and applications across programs and report results on a weekly basis
  • Reconcile information session and application reports
  • Provide outreach to prospective enrollees for application assistance and follow up with individuals that did not attend
  • Establish relationships with targeted community groups that serve our specific population needs
  • Identify and attend community events for participant recruitment purposes throughout New York City
  • Coordinate and plan STRIVE participant recruitment events
  • Maintain a community partnership distribution list
  • Work with the Communications team for collateral materials and to strategize potential revenue leads
  • Create opportunities for Alumni to refer new students and/or serve as ambassadors for recruitment
  • Determine the appropriate social support services for individuals
  • Assist with data entry into Apricot participant tracking system
  • Outreach work in the community as needed
  • Additional duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

•Experience forming community partnerships and asking for in-kind donations

•Associates degree or a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working with populations with barriers to employment, including long term unemployment, light to medium touches with the criminal justice system, and/or a history of substance abuse

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Accurate and detail-oriented

•Self-directed and motivated; able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a small team

•Microsoft Suite proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

•Ability to handle high pressure and high-volume workload

•Professional demeanor

•Data analytical skills preferred

•Bilingual preferred

Salary Description

$48,000-$55,000 per year
