To assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of those activities that directly impact the enrollment of students to the Colleges. In addition to involvement in a range of traditional admissions recruitment duties (travel, correspondence and communication with prospective students and secondary school personnel, interviewing, on-campus events, and some application review), the Sr. Associate Director is the primary liaison between the admissions and financial aid offices and our athletic departments. In addition, the Sr. Associate Director is responsible for the further development and management of the Admissions Volunteer Network.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Volunteer Management: responsible for the recruitment, training, and support of the Admissions Volunteer Network (AVN) made up of alumni, alumnae and parent volunteers.
- Working with recruitment staff, identify where AVN support is needed and can enhance our recruiting efforts.
- Develop training tools and AVN virtual handbook.
- As the primary athletic liaison, work with financial aid to provide 'early reads' for prospective student athletes
- Serve as the primary admissions staff liaison for football, baseball, lacrosse (m and w) and volleyball (m and w).
- Participate in targeted application review for all application rounds (ED, EA, RD).
- Host virtual Information Sessions and interviews and serve as host for virtual sessions for accepted students and parents.
- Provide occasional in-person interviewing and event support on Saturdays.
- Establish a continuum of personalized communication with prospective candidates, school counselors, and community-based organizations to strengthen their connection to the Colleges.
- Understand and interpret data that are a part of the admission and financial processes including: applications for admissions, accepted student questionnaires, enrollment planning data, admissions charts, and tables, needs assessment documents.
- Participate in regional college admissions associations and represent the Colleges at events and presentations.
- Act as a liaison with various student organizations, clubs, and groups as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge for the Colleges' educational philosophy and mission.
- Evening and weekend work are required at certain times of the year.

- Demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to unique social, cultural, and economic circumstances.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Other Information:
This is a full-time, 12-month, hybrid, benefits-eligible position. This position description is not all-inclusive as other tasks or responsibilities may be assigned.
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- Minimum of 8 years higher ed experience.
- College admission recruitment or related experience preferred.
- Candidates for the position must possess superb written and oral communication skills, computer skills, a high level of energy, a valid driver's license, and a lively imagination.
- Knowledge of enrollment CRM (Slate), Microsoft Office helpful.
- The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
