Job Details

About Our College: Located in the midst of the gorgeous natural beauty of the Adirondack Mountains of New York, SUNY Plattsburgh’s main campus is about 25 miles south of the Canadian border in Plattsburgh, NY. Plattsburgh is less than an hour from destinations such as Montreal (Canada), Lake Placid (New York), and Burlington (Vermont). SUNY Plattsburgh is a four-year, public, comprehensive, residential college and a member of the State University of New York’s (SUNY) comprehensive system of higher education committed to student-centered academic excellence. Regularly ranked among “America’s Best Colleges” by the U.S. News and World Report, SUNY Plattsburgh has several attractive elements that have contributed to its increased profile in recent years, including one of the strongest international student presences in the SUNY system. The college’s current enrollment is more than 4,500 students and offers more than 60 degree programs across its three academic divisions. With our close proximity to the Canadian Border, the university also enjoys the advantage of serving as an intellectual resource for the North Country region in upstate New York and for the Quebec/New York corridor.

About The Position: The Enrollment and Student Success division supports a student’s entire collegiate experience from the point of admission through to graduation. We partner with students, faculty and staff to provide a network of opportunities and services that lead to student success. Collectively, the division of Enrollment and Student Success positively influences the health, safety and well-being of the student body. The Global Education Office (GEO) provides a range of services to international students studying at SUNY Plattsburgh, and to all students wishing to study away from campus for a short period of time. The Director of GEO serves as the senior international officer for the college, develops and implements global enrollment strategies and partnerships, provides leadership to all support services for international students, and oversees all aspects of student study abroad/away experiences. As SUNY Plattsburgh is an institution that delivers challenging and high-quality educational experiences to a diverse group of learners, the successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity, inclusion, and equity-minded policies, programs, and practices.

SUNY College at Plattsburgh is a fully compliant employer committed to excellence through diversity.
