Job Responsibilities

Tri-County Technical College invites applicants to the role of Student Services Program Coordinator II. Reporting to the Director of Bridge Programs, the Student Services Program Coordinator II will support the development of partnerships with multiple colleges and universities and act as a liaison, facilitate advising, academic and transitional support, provide student programming and services, and assess program and service levels for continuous improvement. The successful candidates should have the ability to work well with a diverse population of students; knowledge of best practices in academic advising and support; strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; effective oral and written communication skills; and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

PARTNERSHIP COORDINATION AND PROGRAMMING:

Provides planning and coordination for developing, promoting, and delivering bridge programs and other partnerships with four-year institutions. Serves as departmental liaison based on emergent College needs and strategic priorities.

STUDENT AND ACADEMIC SUPPORT:

Engages with students using a proactive advising model. Facilitates educational planning for students to ensure proper program fit or to ensure they are tracking to meet goals. Serves as a student advocate, refers students to student support and engagement resources as needed. Identifies and provides outreach to at-risk students to point them towards resources, interventions, and student support activities. Helps students transition to the next phase of education or career.

TRANSITION SUPPORT AND ADVISING: Facilitates and provides student transition support including recruitment, enrollment, and/or orientation of new students in individual and group settings. Advises students on academic programs, curriculum, and pathways. Helps ensure proper pathway fit and develops educational plans as a guide for students.

EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT:

Assists in the evaluation and assessment of the program's resources and services. Maintains accurate records and tracks student progress. Develop related reports and monitor service levels. Recommends opportunities for continuous improvement.

OTHER:

Assist in the evaluation and assessment of the program's resources and services, maintaining accurate records, tracking student progress, developing related reports, monitoring service levels, participates in professional development activities, suggesting opportunities for continuous improvement, and assisting with boards, presentations, training, special projects, and initiatives as well as performing other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's Degree in related fields

Experience in advising, enrollment management/services, or program development
