The Advisor, International Education works directly with the International Education team to support Microcampus students (undergraduate and graduate) studying in dual degree programs and assists with the development and maintenance of dual degree articulation charts. The Advisor, International Education is a critical member of International Education in Arizona International which provides service and support to over 2000 undergraduates and 100 graduate students. International Education staff strive to uphold the highest professional standards and are dedicated to working in the best interest of the students. This position plays a vital role in maximizing undergraduate and graduate student retention and success. The Advisor, International Education builds formative relationships with Main campus colleagues as well as Microcampus location managers and colleagues by interpreting information and providing clarification on procedures and academic requirements for a variety of dual degree programs. In this role, the incumbent will serve as a representative of divisional leadership to diverse constituencies using various forms of communication (face-to-face, written, visual, electronic) and will collaboratively engage in activities and projects at all levels across the division. The role requires critical thinking and problem solving from a broad, high-level perspective down to project execution involving detailed, transactional processing and planning. A strong understanding of the character and inner workings of the University of Arizona is essential along with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge and familiarity with the organization of international universities would also be beneficial in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities
Understand the unique processes and offerings associated with UA International Microcampus Dual Degrees and communicates relevant information to main campus advisors and students.
Coordinate with partner institutions and main campus advising teams to support dual degree students to move seamlessly through their dual degree programs.
Complete preliminary degree audits for dual degree students, especially in the beginning when the associated academic department needs to develop capacity.
Guide the dual degree team and dual degree students who attend Main Campus:
Assist and enroll said students when there are enrollment needs for non-major courses and potentially major courses, in collaboration with appropriate academic departments.
Develop support documents, presentations, other materials as needed in support of the Office of International Education, as it relates to general academic policies.
Keep abreast of proposed curriculum changes, apprise others and advise on articulation issues and activities interpret the impact of curricular changes of other institutions' requirements for transfer students
Audit student records for issues related to transfer credit, and work with Admissions, TCA and partner institution to resolve discrepancies.
Utilize Analytics to compile, analyze, interpret and communicate data on student progress, success, retention and graduation.
Assist in the development of articulation charts for Arizona International's dual degree programs.
Manage and oversee the entire HED/UAG program for the dual degree students at microcampus locations, from course development, hiring and guidance of professors, through end of semester professor evaluations and course assessments.
