SUMMARY:

Admissions Coordinator has in assisting in achieving enrollment and recruiting goals, and students for Logan University - College of Chiropractic by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective students, college/university representatives and alumni. Logan University seeks to recruit students who are interested in the University's mission and possess the academic, social and co-circular skills required to acquire a degree from Logan University. As a member of the Admissions Department, the employee will work with prospective students from the inquiry phase through matriculation to Logan by performing the following duties:

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as an initial point of contact for admissions office; maintains contact with prospective students and applicants, answering questions, making/returning phone calls, responding to email messages, referring students to appropriate resources.
  • Build relationships with potential students, parents, school counselors and advisors.
  • Maintain contact with prospective students from initial stages of inquiry through enrollment.
  • Reports regularly, as requested, to Director of Admissions regarding admissions activities, numbers of inquiries, and status of applications
  • Answers main Admissions phone line, Data entry; filing; checking messages and returning calls 60 calls minimum per day
  • Working non-traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends with prospective students or admissions events (three times a year: Future Leopard Weekend) or as assigned.
  • Manage special projects as determined by the leadership
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual should have excellent communication, presentation and public relation skills, as well as the skills necessary to coach and train team members to reach department goals. Must be flexible, have a positive attitude and be willing to fully participate in a team problem-solving approach.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Bachelor's degree; with two to three years related experience and/or training. Must have a high level of language skills and a high level of math skills. Must have ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Proficient in MS Office Word & Excel and a working knowledge of a customer service management system.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: Must possess a valid drivers license

Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel 30% of the time and work weekends occasionally.
