The position assists PUSD's Director of ESS in coaching/mentoring and evaluating Special Education teachers, with overseeing SpEd programs, with compliance monitoring and support, and with simila duties.

Arizona Special Education Teacher certificate required. 5+ years of successful SpEd teaching experience required.

Position is paid based on PUSD Teacher base salary $40,682 to $49,284, depending on experience and education. Position also includes 301 bonus, expected at $10,000+ annually.

Position also includes 10 additional paid days before and 5 paid days after typical Teacher contract. (Approx. July 20 through approx. June 5)

All Full time PUSD employees receive the following benefits in addition to their salary:

  • Stipend(s) potentially available for additional work outside the scope of main contract duties
  • Many employee groups (including this position) readily qualify for year-end Proposition 301 bonus, which varies yearly based on state tax revenue. 2022-23 amount is expected to be about $9,000.

Total Compensation Example: $43,082 base salary + 15 extra days $3,474 + Prop 301 bonus $10,000 = $56,556 for 201 work days
