The College of Education at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers in the Student Affairs in Higher Education program from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester.

This position will teach Student Affairs in Higher Education classes. For example, Student Affairs Leadership, Leading Teams and Organizations, Social Foundations of Higher Education, College Student Development Theory, Counseling and Helping Skills in Higher Education, Legal and Ethical Issues in Higher Education, Budgeting and Finance in Student Affairs, Student Services Program Development and Evaluation, Research and Statistics, Diversity and Inclusiveness in Higher Education, Culturally Responsive Practices in Higher Education, Crisis Management and Response, and the Student Affairs Practicum/Internship. The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is one of four campuses in the University of Colorado system and is home to over 9,000 undergraduate and 1,800 graduate students. What We Offer:

Salary Range: Generally starting at $2,500 - $3,000 per 3-credit hour course.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education, Higher Education Administration, or a closely related field
  • At least three years of professional experience in the specific course content area
  • Available to teach in-person classes on campus

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A terminal degree (e.g., PhD, JD)
  • Prior and relevant teaching experience
  • Current engagement in professional development activities in the specific course content area

Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move
  • Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, and fine motor skills
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
