This job entails leading the admissions Undergraduate Clerk and Undergraduate Specialist, the Lead Admissions Processor will manage the day-to-day operations of the processing team, with an individual focus on international processing for graduate and undergraduate applications. The Lead Admissions Processor will keep abreast of university admissions criteria as well as special requirements within individual colleges and schools. The role will ensure the team processes applications in a timely manner, maintain university systems, and collaborate with the CRM/Slate team and the Office of International Education.

Your day to day:
  • Lead the undergraduate processing team within the Office of Admissions; and oversee the international application processing.
  • Analyzes and processes international application checklists, tasks, and files containing admission decisions. Processes letters and related data entry into student information systems. Uses software to review documents.
  • Review, evaluate, and process admissions documentation (including domestic and international transcripts and certificates, test scores, English proficiency results and waivers and exemptions) ensuring the highest degree of accuracy, and maintaining strict guidelines to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Analyzes and process the entry of credit evaluation data.
  • Conduct academic credential evaluations of international transcripts for undergraduate and graduate applicants
  • Maintain database of applicants and process their files.
  • Organize and update transcripts, scores, and other documents
  • Input and/or extract data from Slate CRM, Banner, Sunapsis, and other Purdue systems. Have a thorough understanding of codes and screens in each.
  • Supervise and train other support staff including student employees.
  • Train and assist admissions staff members regarding admissions processing procedures.
  • Authorized to encumber/release student records according to admissions policies and based on predetermined criteria.
  • Communicate system problems and suggest workflow improvements. Assist in testing system modifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.
