*Position Summary:*The UNC School of Medicine Office of Admissions is seeking a Senior Director of Admissions to work in partnership with the Associate Dean for Admissions and Director of Admissions in administering the application cycles for the yearly matriculating class of 205 to 230 students into the UNC SOM. Responsibilities include continued development of protocols for application review, interview day assessments, and administration of scholarships. The Senior Director of Admissions will review applications for consideration for interview, interview prospective applicants, and work with the Committee on Admissions for selection of applicants. They work in accordance to accreditation standards and with the Office of Medical Education to develop new initiatives to admit students who advance the mission of our school - to improve the health and well-being of North Carolinians and others whom we serve - and participate in activities that represent our school to prospective candidates.
*Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:*Relevant post-Baccalaureate degree required (or foreign degree equivalent); for candidates demonstrating comparable independent educational or instructional activities associated with the delivery and/or management of student support functions, will accept a relevant Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) and at least 1 year of relevant experience in substitution.
