JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Wilkes-Barre seeks a Student Services Coordinator responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Student Support Services Department of Education TRiO Grant. The successful candidate should have experience in implementing a TRiO or other student support services program. This position has the potential to be performed as a hybrid of remote and on-site work.

Job Responsibilities:

* Supervise, train, and evaluate staff.

* Prepare and implement project proposals; and submit annual performance reports.

Education & Experience:

* 2+ years of related experience.

* Master's Degree or higher in an education or social science-related discipline.

* Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

* Required Certifications, Registrations, or Licensure

* May require PA Act 33, 151, and 34 certifications

* Requires excellent oral and written communication skills.

* The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

* Fiscal management background and the ability to complete and monitor yearly budgets for the Department of Education.

* Experience in writing successful grants with federal agencies is important, as is a demonstrated sensitivity to the obstacles that first-generation, low-income, and individuals with disabilities encounter in college.

Student Support Services is externally funded by the Department of Education TRIO Grant and is in its third of five years. This is a limited-term appointment through the University, funded until August 31, 2025, with an excellent possibility of refunding.

Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances:

PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check.
