A member of the Student Engagement and Recruitment Team, this position's main duties are to perform and engage in high-touch outreach and recruitment/retention activities with prospective and current students to increase enrollment and promote successful student onboarding.
The role will provide high-touch and comprehensive guidance and assistance to students by nurturing effective relationships and mentoring students from pre-enrollment inquiry to submission of admissions applications, college onboarding, career advising, and course enrollment processes. The ideal candidate will utilize strong customer service (concierge-level service), and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills while providing students with information about admissions, registration, testing, advisement, financial aid, payment options and appropriate referrals to other related student services.
This individual will also assist in fostering, implementing, and supporting partnerships with local and national stakeholders.
Essential Functions
50% - Performs and engages in high-touch outreach and recruitment/retention activities (phone/text/email/chat campaigns, recruitment events) with prospective and current students to increase enrollment and retention. Assists prospective and current students in overcoming admissions and/or enrollment barriers throughout the student life cycle
25% - Researches student information to have the most relevant conversations; documents student outcomes from daily outreach efforts across various internal systems including, but not limited to Student Information System (SIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
15% - Assists the college and other departments with ad-hoc outreach/inbound initiatives/campaigns. Collects data on program/campaign participation and prepares program/campaign reports
10%- Stays current on program knowledge and evolving business processes through continual training. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of student services or college teaching experience or experience assisting with educational program development and coordination, student advisement, financial aid, or related student development programs.
OR
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications
A. Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution
B. Two (2) or more years assisting students through admissions and enrollment processes
C. Experience maintaining student records within a student database management system (i.e. Peoplesoft, Banner, Salesforce, etc.)
D. Experience providing high volume customer service via telephone, email, text, and/or in person
E. Experience with recruitment or sales in higher education
Special Working Conditions
This position will be a hybrid of remote and on-campus work. Remote workspace requires strong and reliable internet connection. Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving: http://www.maricopa.edu/legal/rmi/vehicle.htm#requirements . Will require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs
