The Pre-admission Nurse/Total Joint Coordinator will assist with the development, planning, coordination and administration of all activities of pre admission related to elective and inpatient admissions. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to, educating patients and families on pre admission/operative requirements, what to expect on the day of surgery, and post-operative instructions. The pre admission nurse will report directly to the pre admission nurse manager. The total joint coordinator will be responsible for all total joint pre admission appointments, early discharge planning, and all pre and post operative education. The coordinator will be responsible for necessary lab and appointment follow ups as well as physician liaison.
