Job Description:
The Administrator, Academic and Experiential Learning (AEL) performs basic administrative, clerical, facilities and/or operational support work tasks for the AEL department. The position performs work which supports the daily office operations and consists of routine tasks, processes or operations.
Essential Functions:
Performs general administrative tasks for the office/team. Duties may include ordering office supplies, coordinating travel arrangements, creating and/or proofing reports, and filing documents. May support other teams during peak times or as needed.
Provides administrative support to AEL team in completion of university applications.
Assists in managing the logistics of meetings and events. Duties may include arranging catering, travel, and/or tech support, and taking meeting notes.
Enters data into IIE core systems. Duties may include ensuring the accuracy of the data, creating graphic representations of the data, and/or maintaining office/department databases for easy retrieval of requested information.
Responds to general phone and email inquiries and escalates non-standard issues as needed.
Maintains office filing system. Files and retrieves office documents and papers as requested by team members.
The Institute of International Education (“IIE”) has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework at any of the locations listed above.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
Requires an Associate's degree and at least two years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good organization skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook and databases.
Starting Salary: $45,783.02. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
