Position Function: Responsible for all visa, pre-arrival, arrival, orientation, and ongoing support services for international students and scholars and for ensuring that the university is in compliance with all state and federal rules and regulations.

 

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment.

 

Minimum Experience: At least five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education in international student and scholar support services, including visa and immigration services. At least three years of experience as a Designated School Official. At least two years of supervisory experience. Experience working with people from diverse cultural, educational, and linguistic backgrounds, with an emphasis on experience working with international students and scholars. Expertise, knowledge and eligibility to serve as PDSO and RO. Ability to provide operational planning and leadership. Ability to collaborate on strategic planning and leadership.

 

Minimum Other: Familiarity with Banner, experience with Immigration Case Management software (Sunapsis, ISSM); past DSO experience. Excellent oral and written inter-cultural communication skills. Work style that emphasizes excellent customer service. Ability to consult and collaborate with multiple offices/units/departments across campus.

 

Preferred Qualifications:  Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Work experience in a public university. Proficiency in a second language; Experience with Technolutions Slate CRM.
