Mitchell Hamline School of Law is seeking to hire a full-time Admissions Coordinator. The Admissions Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for prospective students and applicants and as such, must be a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable outward-facing presence. The Admissions Coordinator is also responsible for all aspects of application and decision processing. Thus, this position will assume primary responsibility for ensuring the integrity of the applicant and incoming student data. The Admissions Coordinator supports the Vice President of Enrollment and the Admissions Director and Assistant Director of Recruiting in planning and executing prospective student visits and events.

Prerequisite:

To be eligible for this position, you must have obtained a bachelor's degree; AND at least one (1) year of admissions experience; OR an Associate degree and equivalent/combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge/Skill/Ability:
  • High degree of comfort and ease working in databases and Excel with large amounts of data.
  • Highly organized and extremely attentive to detail.
  • Effective communication skills; especially strong writing ability.
  • Responsive, with a customer service orientation and a strong commitment to providing excellent student service.
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and confidentiality in alignment with department standards.
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team.

Other Information:

Occasional work outside of normal business hours might be anticipated, including evenings and weekends.
