UCR University Extension is the learner-centered continuing education division of the University of California, Riverside and offers a wide range of programs designed to meet the needs of local, regional and global students and employers. UCR University Extension has provided international programs in the areas of ESL, concurrent enrollment and professional certificates, postgraduate certificates and diplomas, academic pathway programs, academic training programs and customized training to a broad global audience since 1975.

The Executive Director reports to the Dean of UCR University Extension and is a member of Extension’s Senior Executive Council. The position works in partnership with the Academic Affairs and Strategic Operations divisions as well as with the UCR Office of International Affairs and other campus academic and administrative organizations. The Executive Director (ED) is the principal business development officer for International Programs at UCR Extension and is expected to travel abroad heavily and numerous times per year to promote UCR University Extension in major international markets as well as developing markets with the explicit goal of increasing international enrollments and revenue. The ED will conduct university partner and governmental agency visits, engage in student recruitment fairs, and build new programs and partnerships. Additionally, the ED will provide oversight and guidance to UCR Extension staff under their direction, manage the overall budget for the International Programs division, and uphold the academic quality and integrity of international education curricula. The ED is the lead administrator for all international programs, including but not limited to, academic pathway programs, short- and long-term custom programs, internship (CPT and OTP) based programs and English language programs.
