Advertised Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Engagement and Strategic Initiatives, the Director of Student Affairs develops a program of work designing educational activities and services to enhance law student success, promote students’ personal, emotional, and financial well-being, and cultivate their understanding of the obligations and responsibilities of lawyers. The Director promotes student engagement in activities and opportunities that advance their personal development as lawyer leaders. The Director coordinates and collaborates with offices throughout he law school as well as with student organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Student Services or a related field and three years related experience, or a bachelor’s degree and five years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
J.D. or Masters in higher education preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Requires strong organizational, planning and project management skills. Must have strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Must be able to think and work strategically and be capable of conducting research on trends in legal education in the student affairs field. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines while remaining personable, supportive, and enthusiastic. Ability to work effectively with a diverse constituency of faculty, staff, alumni, students, and the public. Must be flexible to accommodate unpredictable demands, have strong interpersonal skills, and provide a sympathetic, supportive, calm and welcoming office environment. Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism, and be able to work within general guidelines with limited supervision. Ability to develop and monitor budgets of student organizations. Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, and administration. A commitment to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment is required.
