Breakthrough Atlanta Student Services AmeriCorps
The Breakthrough program strives to provide academic and enrichment opportunities for scholars and families in 7th-9th grade. The Student Services AmeriCorps member will be responsible for assisting with the facilitation of workshops, student recruitment, school visits, and general caseload management. The AmeriCorps Members will received a stipend of $7,200 and an education award of $1,824.07 upon successful completion of service. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
Member Duties : Work collaboratively with Student Services Team to develop student recruitment strategies Attend recruitment events at metro-Atlanta public schools Provide academic guidance Serve as a point of contact for students and families Adhere to all policies to ensure the safety of all students Complete administrative responsibilities Identify students who may be experiencing personal, emotional, or academic challenges and refer students and families to the Students Services program manager who will assist in counseling or other support services Collect and monitor data related to student services, participation in the program, and overall satisfaction Assist in designing engaging curriculum that supports social-emotional learning and leadership skills Attend all School Year Program events Assist with the planning of field trips Advocate for students' needs and interests m Engage in continuous professional learning Participate in program team meetings
