Reporting to the Dean of Undergraduate Admission, the Senior Associate Dean serves in a leadership role and oversees all operations in the absence of the dean. The Senior Associate Dean will serve in a direct supervisory role for several staff members and oversee a variety of department initiatives.
Responsibilities
Serve in a leadership role in the use of the CRM (TargetX), supporting communications management, the application review, and reporting. Provide supervision for the coordinators of the Ambassador program.
Serve as lead contact for the admission counseling staff with the executive director of enrollment systems and operations and with the Technology Services Department.
Provide mentorship and support professional development for the counseling staff.
Provide a leadership role for the University in the areas of freshmen, transfer, and international student admission.
Travel for the purposes of recruitment, professional conferences, and high school workshops on college admission.
Establish and maintain existing relationships with Schools, departments, and offices on campus, as well as organizations external to the University.
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience in admission, higher education, or school-based college counseling, working with admission processes, and recruitment of students, or counseling students through the college search and selection process on the high school side. Experience with a higher education CRM (TargetX or Slate preferred). Must have strong customer service ethic and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written required. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, diplomacy, and familiarity with working individually as well as in a team setting.
