Position Summary
Reports directly to the Director of Admissions for the Juris Doctor (J.D.) program, and works with the Director and Dean of Admissions to develop and implement marketing strategies and other goals with aim of successfully recruiting impressive students from a highly selective pool of applicants worldwide.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibility for all aspects of yield management: the formulation of strategy and the implementation of programs designed to maximize the Law School's ability to enroll the most highly qualified law students from across the United States and around the world. Includes the planning and management of all outreach initiatives to faculty and prospective applicants, student/alumni ambassador program, on-campus open houses, alumni/ae events, use of approved social media, webinars, and pertinent mailings. Development of analytical tools and strategies for tracking progress of class selection and applicants. Create strategic plan and messaging, which includes data analysis and trend reports, for building connections with admitted students to boost post-admission recruiting effectiveness. (35%) Related tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Planning, implementing, and overseeing at least 4 major open houses in-person, on-campus and/or virtually for admitted students;
- Planning, implementing, and overseeing off-campus and/or virtual events for admitted students
- Shared responsibility for meeting with admitted students, including arranging meetings with current students, faculty and administrators, as necessary;
- Primary responsibility for managing student ambassador program and other yield-related ambassador programs;
- Working with student groups in connection with admitted student yield-related events
- Developing and maintaining school-wide relationships with faculty and administrators in order to facilitate programming of yield-related events;
- Tracking progress of admitted class (pre- and post-deposit) through the use of data reports and related sources, in addition to developing analytical tools for yield projection and related information; and
- Using national law school applicant database system, primarily for generating and analyzing confidential reports;
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, plus 4-6 years of relevant professional experience.
- Several years' experience in a professional environment characterized by complex demands, large workloads, deadline pressures and high client/student expectations, preferably in (but not limited to) admissions or student affairs.
- Computer literacy in spreadsheets and database software.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse constituencies.
- Driver License and evening and weekend work required.
