This is a remote Undergraduate Admissions Counselor position that will be assigned to the state of Ohio, focusing in on the concentrated area of Cleveland, Toledo, Southern Michigan, and surrounding areas. This person must reside in one of these areas. Northwood University is located in Midland, MI and is a residential campus. You will be assigned this specific territory to achieve enrollment goals as established by the Director of Admissions & Enrollment Management. This will be accomplished through high school visits, classroom presentations, attendance at college day/night programs, bus trips to campus, involvement in on-campus open house events, creating and hosting off campus counselor events, interviewing prospective students and families, developing rapport and maintain working relationships with counselors and high school teachers. These responsibilities must be performed in an ethical manner consistent with the University's mission and vision. You will work remote and manage your territory to achieve your goals. Although you will work remote and recruit within your territory you will be required to travel to campus at least once every month or every other month, more as needed.
*Teaching/sales background desirable.
*Northwood University Graduate
*1+ years in admissions counseling
Must Haves:
*Possess a Bachelor Degree (preferably in Business, Marketing, Education, or other related programs).
*Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Skilled public speaker.
*Possess a valid driver's license.
*Have demonstrated experience working in teams, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
*Have the ability to travel and work evenings and weekends
*Work with culturally diverse populations.
*Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
