Position Summary PLEASE NOTE: Thisposition is for the UNM Gallup Branch, located in Gallup, NM, approximately 138miles west of Albuquerque, NM.
The UNM-Gallup Division of StudentAffairs, Office of Admissions and Recruitment, is searching for a highlymotivated person to join our team as an Admissions Advisor. This position willprovide critical support to the campus by initiating and facilitatingrecruitment and outreach efforts throughout assigned territories, processingundergraduate admissions applications, evaluating transcripts, and advisingpotential students on admission requirements and options, transfer, and relatedissues. Additionally, this position will assist in the development of programsand marketing materials, facilitate campus tours and present to groups and/orindividuals on and off campus.
The ideal candidate will be studentfocused and have an energetic personality with the ability to prepare anddeliver small and large group presentations and one-on-one sessions; theability to work independently, complete assignments, and make professional andsound decisions is essential. There will be some required evening and weekendwork at recruitment and outreach events, which may include some travel. Successin this position requires working well in a team environment, includingeffective cross-functional communications with other departments and Universitypersonnel, while achieving excellent customer service.

Conditions of Employment
High school diploma or GED;at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with high school students in a higher education environment
- Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations and speak in front of large and small audiences
- Experience and/or direct knowledge and familiarization with higher education (college/university) with emphasis in Admissions, Financial Aid, Scholarships, Records & Registration and other related student services.
- Strongcomputer skills which demonstrate efficiency, speed, accuracy, and ability tolearn programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations and underrepresented students
- Demonstrated experience with effective workplace communications (written/verbal), leadership, problem solving, conflict resolution and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and adaptive to flexible assignments as business needs require.

Hourly: $18.26 - $24.81
