02/21/2024 A vacancy exists for a Long-term Substitute Speech & Language Pathologist to work within the Office of Student Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit! These positions will be supporting School Age programs.

  • Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology.
  • Valid PA certification in Speech & Language Pathology.
  • Eligible for PA state licensure.
  • Experience with delivering speech services to a variety of school age children is preferred.
  • Current Police, Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct service to students who present a variety of speech and language disorders.
  • Evaluate students in the areas of speech and language as needed.
  • Consult with parents and other professionals regarding speech and language.
  • Write IEP's and re-evaluation reports.
  • Participate in IEP meetings.
The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provide services to students in School Age K-12 classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. Position will require travel. For additional information about the MCIU Student Services, please visit:

Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day

2023-2024 Salary:
Bachelor's, Step 1: $51,872/year
Master's, Step 1: $62,882/year
*Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
