Position - Admissions Representative


The admissions representative is responsible for essential admission functions for students in an assigned territory at Avila University including document review, communication around admissions decisions, and data updating. An ideal candidate will have experience in admissions or pre-licensure programs at the university level and be fluent in Spanish.

  • Daily review status of all new applicants and inquiries for assigned territory.
  • After receipt of application materials, determines and informs students of acceptance.
  • Meets with prospective Avila students and their families individually and in groups to discuss the admissions process, answer questions and provide campus tours. Majority of these duties will be communicated in Spanish.
  • Communicate with academic advisor regarding appointments and any relevant information. Ensure communication with financial aid and business office are available and happening for students.
  • Facilitate recruitment events and participate in events organized by partners.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing partners and maintain open communication regarding application materials and student progress.
  • Act as an advocate for online student concerns on campus.
  • Performs other site and position specific functions, and other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Fluent in Spanish
  • Creative problem solver
  • Ability to occasionally work non-standard and varied working hours
  • Self-motived, enthusiastic and goal oriented
  • Ability to cultivate relationships
  • Experience working in admissions office as student worker or full time or work with pre-licensure programs preferred
  • Experience in Slate CRM or comfort with technology and data preferred
  • Experience as a non-traditional/online college student preferred
