Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, this position serves as the primary recruitment coordinator for new student enrollment at the undergraduate level. Additional information about the Office of Undergraduate Admissions is located at

Essential Duties:
  • Responsible for developing recruitment strategies to achieve an inclusive undergraduate enrollment effort at the University of Georgia for first-year, transfer, international and targeted audiences.
  • Proactively collaborates with campus partners in developing university-wide and department-specific recruitment and yield initiatives.
  • Coordinates the development of recruitment and event planning related to strategies for accomplishing institutional enrollment goals.
  • Works in collaboration with the Associate Director of Marketing and Communications on the enrollment communication strategy including but not limited to: print publications, web development, e-mail communications, video development, advertising, public relations, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Collaborates with the Director and Senior Leadership to shape the application review process and actively participates in application review.
  • Works with the Director and Senior Leadership to develop strategies for yielding and preventing melt of admitted students.
  • Coordinates the use of demographic and market research related to new student enrollment.
  • Represents Office of Undergraduate Admissions within both the campus and external audiences.
  • Supervises several members of the Leadership and Recruitment teams.
  • Ability to work occasional evening and/or weekend hours.

Additional Requirements

A minimum of 8-10 years of significant, progressive experience in admissions or higher education to include a record of increasingly responsible supervisory/management experience.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification
  • Significant admissions background to include a record of increasingly responsible supervisory/management history preferred.
  • Evidence of providing strategic use of a CRM and reporting system.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
  • Strong communication skills, ability to lead group collaborations, and effectively manage a team of three direct-reports and approximately 20 employees under their supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with empathy and support, and maintain a strong culture of inclusiveness and teamwork among the staff.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Admissions team to solve problems and improve processes.
