Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience with in special education or related services.


Master's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of experience with in special education or related services.

Valid teaching license with a Special Education and/or Gifted/Talented endorsement required.

Special Conditions

Initial screening will begin Friday, April 19, 2024 and will occur each Friday thereafter until a candidate has been identified.

The department is especially interested in candidates with a leadership credential.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

May need to work/travel beyond normal work schedule

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

The Senior Director of Student Services will ensure all University Schools uphold the tradition of academic excellence for all students established since our inception in 1912. Leading the special education, gifted and talented education, multi-language learners, and all related service teams at University Schools, the Director of Student Services will ensure the systems and settings of University Schools are conducive for all learners to learn, thrive, and grow. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Academics, the Director, Student Services will have a vital voice on the academics team at University Schools.
