Job Description:
- Advises University of Florida (UF) students about selected study abroad programs individually and in groups. Responsible for specific programs/countries (as assigned).
- Administers UF-approved study abroad programs (as assigned). Follows established UFIC protocols related to application data input, the application process, and transcript processing.
- Coordinates study abroad programs with faculty directors, as well as academic and administrative offices at UF. Liaises for assigned programs between UFIC and overseas institutions, US study abroad providers and educational institutions.
- Serves as liaison to the International Scholars Program in the Office of Global Learning.
- Conducts/assists in pre-departure orientations, scholarship application review, info sessions, campus recruitment, study abroad publicity and other outreach activities, such as the bi-annual study abroad fair.
Expected Salary:$21.00-$22.00/hour
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and experience living or studying abroad.
Preferred Qualifications:EDUCATION & TRAINING: Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization
- Two (2) years appropriate experience in higher education or an education abroad setting
- International experience (living, studying, teaching abroad)
-Knowledge of a second language (preferably Spanish)
-Knowledge of best practices in Education Abroad
-Familiarity with Terra Dotta Software, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective interpersonal and problem-solving skills
-Experience developing presentations and speaking publicly
-Demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting and with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
