Position Title: Admissions Travel Recruiter

Department: Admissions

Reports to: Vice President of Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions

The mission of the Admissions Office is to actively recruit a national and diverse group of prospective students through accurate and effective communication in order to enroll students who are ready to train for Christian service. Institutional Goals supported by Department: IG 2, 3, 4
  • This position is designated as a Campus Security Authority (CSA), and will be required to participate in CSA training, and is required to immediately forward all reports of Clery Act crimes brought to their attention to the Clery Compliance Officer.

A. Summary

The Admissions Travel Recruiter is a face and voice for Ozark Christian College and will represent the college at various events and locations to recruit prospective students. This position requires extensive travel, excellent communication skills, and the ability to connect with potential students and their families. The successful candidate will play a critical role in our admissions team, ensuring that we attract and enroll mission-aligned and motivated students.

B. Primary Duties and Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute effective travel for recruitment
  • Travel expectation: Work must be customarily executed away from the office, meaning employee should regularly be engaged away at different events/visits to maximize recruitment
  • Attend and represent Ozark at college fairs, high school visits, church events, conferences, and other recruitment activities
  • Speak in youth group settings to promote the college and recruit students
  • Conduct presentations and informational sessions for various audiences
  • Create recruitment strategies to identify and recruit students who are a good mission fit for the college through proactive, intentional contact
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students, parents, high school counselors, church leaders, and other key influencers
  • Coordinate regular contact with youth ministers and alumni at youth meetings, camps, conferences, etc., to foster relationships and promote the college
  • Provide detailed information about Ozark Christian College's programs, application process, tours, athletics, housing, scholarships, financial aid opportunities, billing, and important college dates
  • Remain current with Admissions trends and policies (personal training, networking, consultants, etc.)
  • Track contact with students, travel details, and other activities in Customer Relation Management (CRM) system and keep detailed notes of travel and interactions
  • Work closely with Vice President of Enrollment to set travel goals to ensure recruitment efforts are maximized
  • Assist in the hiring and training of summer representatives
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strong computer skills (typing, internet usage, etc.) and an intermediate knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Google (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.)

D. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • At least two years of experience speaking/teaching/preaching
  • Prior college or university work experience is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record

E. Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Employee is required to work 40 hours per week
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate; the ability to maintain effective production with background noise is needed.
  • Employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Employee is required to sit and look at a computer screen for long periods of time
  • Employee will likely travel about in non-handicapped supported areas when off campus
  • Employee is required to travel during peak seasons
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus on details while on a computer and on paper
