Position Purpose

Recruit a diverse and well-qualified international applicant pool for all UNT Colleges and Academic Departments via extensive domestic and international travel.

 

Key Responsibilities

Arrange and conduct international student recruitment visits domestically and abroad, as well as digital / virtual international student recruitment campaigns.

Engage prospective international students and applicants and their counselors, advisors, agents, alumni and other recommenders.

Act as the primary contact to respond to queries from agents and international education advisors abroad.

Produce, update and distribute print and digital marketing materials with degree program options and Admissions requirements.

Coordinate with international admissions processors at UNT.

 

 



Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and three years of experience in recruiting, academic advising, academic counseling, student services, or related experience or can substitute education for experience.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong presentation skills and problem solving skills.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to obtain credit card for travel.
  • Good driving record and access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Professional in appearance, motivated, self-directed and have the ability and willingness to communicate enthusiastically with diverse populations in a positive, courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
  • Willingness to travel (may be extensive).

 

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

  • Advanced cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Familiarity with admissions requirements and international application processes at US higher education institutions.
  • Familiarity with international student mobility trends.
  • Experience living and traveling extensively abroad.
