Travel Health and Safety Manager
Arcadia University
In collaboration with key Arcadia University stakeholders, the Travel Health and Safety Manager will contribute to the development, management, and promotion of a comprehensive travel preparedness strategy for Glenside programs (faculty-led international, domestic). The Manager will promote best practices from the fields of education abroad and risk management and must have the knowledge and interpersonal skills to work effectively with faculty, students, and staff at all levels. The Travel Health and Safety Manager will be based in Academic Affairs, reporting to the Associate Provost.
The Manager will train administrative staff and faculty in appropriate health and safety measures, procedures and precautions, and will revise and implement current student-facing health and safety education for Arcadia's signature Preview and Global Field Study Programs and international experiences, along with program-based domestic travel. The Manager will support the work of Travel Advisory and Response Team (TART). S/he/they will monitor international security risks in order to update relevant program faculty, staff and participants as appropriate and will assist in implementing decisions made by TART and senior university staff. S/he/they will foster a reliable network of support and shared resources among institutional peers.
