The Department of Political Science at Colorado College is hiring for a position in international relations. The rank is open. The position requires expertise in Russia and/or Europe, broadly defined, as well as the ability to teach United States foreign policy. Crucial to the position is potential for, and commitment to, excellence in scholarship as well as in teaching at a liberal arts institution.

Colorado College has a distinctive academic program, the Block Plan, in which professors teach, and students take, one course at a time. Each block is three and a half weeks long, with an academic year of eight and a half blocks. The average teaching load is six blocks a year. Faculty can apply for a limited number of release blocks, as well as various sources of funding, to pursue research.
All requirements for the Ph.D. should be complete by the starting date of August 24, 2020.
