Assistant Professor, International Relations -Tenure Track
The Department of Political Science at the University of Missouri-St. Louis invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in International Relations at the rank of Assistant Professor. Specialization is open, but we are especially interested in candidates with expertise in international political economy, international organizations and international law. The ability to teach a graduate course in quantitative methods is desirable. The department offers bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in Political Science, including a new B.A. in International Relations.
The department seeks an active scholar oriented to research and publication as well as high quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The department is also interested in candidates whose research and teaching interests respect and integrate a variety of methodological approaches. The normal teaching load, assuming an active research agenda, is two courses per semester. Applicants should have Ph.D. in hand by the date of the appointment. Salary is competitive.

The mission of the Department of Political Science is to promote greater understanding of politics, government, and public policy by creating new knowledge, bringing new perspectives to existing knowledge, and disseminating scholarship to students and to the regional, national, and global communities.
