University Relations Representative for Customized Programs
AIFS Study Abroad, a leader in the field of international education exchange is seeking a highly motivated individual to develop new relationships with colleges and universities who are seeking assistance with their customized faculty-led programs. For more than 35 years AIFS Study Abroad has worked with its partners to design and implement customized faculty-led programs in a diverse array of countries.
The University Relations Representative will be responsible for researching and identifying potential partners across the U.S., and to establish new relationships with institutions who are seeking to improve and expand their customized program offerings. This is a sales role responsible for business development at new and existing partner institutions. The position will be based at the AIFS home office in Stamford, CT or in an approved regionally based location.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of AIFS Study Abroad and its Customized Faculty-Led Program services
Work with the CFL team to implement a strategy for developing new partnerships
Conduct research to identify and target potential new clients
Liaise with Regional Directors to coordinate outreach with existing partners
Establish contact with target clients and present AIFS services
Work with new partners to initiate new CFL program proposals
Consistently update school relationship data, identifying trends that indicate changes and need for intervention, especially to maintain relationships with key accounts.
Represent AIFS at appropriate national and regional meetings and conferences and alumni meetings.
Monitor travel and expense budget
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum two-years’ experience in international education administration required
Customer relations/sales experience preferred
Study abroad experience preferred
Experience with customized faculty led programming, with a college/university or a CFL service provider preferred
Excellent communications skills required
