The International Recruitment and Admissions Program Manager provides leadership to the International Recruitment and Admissions team within the Montana State University Office of International Programs. This team, comprised of 4 classified employees and additional student workers, develops and implements all international recruitment efforts, manages international recruitment agent relationships, oversees dual degree programs, and processes all international applications. In addition to overseeing these functions, this Program Manager serves as the International Credential Evaluation Specialist, evaluating international transcripts for international applicants and returning MSU study abroad students.
Team Management Duties
Leads a team of classified and student employees in planning and executing international student recruitment activities for MSU.
Oversees international admissions processes; including application processing, student admittance, partner and agent relations, and ensuring all team members are current on required training’s.
Oversees website, social media accounts, and marking efforts. Identifies opportunities and initiates marketing campaigns in targeted international markets.
Responsible for Recruitment and Admissions budget in conjunction with the Business Operations Manager.
Serves as a liaison between the Office of Admissions, Office of International Programs, Graduate School, INTERLINK International Institutes, MSU Athletics department, academic departments, international counselors and applicants to aid in achieving MSU’s enrollment goals.
Credential Evaluation Specialist Duties
Evaluates the authenticity of international academic credentials submitted by applicants for purposes of admission.
Verifies the level, recognition/accreditation status and ranking of foreign institutions from which academic credentials are received.
Completes transcript evaluation for returning MSU study abroad students to determine how credits earned abroad transfer to the students’ MSU transcript
Collaborates with the Office of the Registrar, Office of Admission and faculty to establish transfer course equivalencies.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Demonstrated experience in managing a team
Demonstrated marketing experience including development of strategic marketing plans as well as conceptualizing and designing effective promotional and marketing tools in a variety of media (web-based, print, video, radio).
Demonstrated experience in managing program budgets.
Experience in processing complex calculations, such as GPA conversions and credit hours.
Demonstrated excellent customer service skills for a diverse group of customers, i.e. internal and external customers, students, etc.
Experience studying, working or living overseas.
Knowledge of world education systems.
Experience with credential evaluation
Master’s degree in a relevant field
