Reporting to the Assistant Director, Study Abroad Marketing, this is an exciting new role within the UA Study Abroad team. We are looking for a self-starter who can dive in and take initiative to help us achieve bold goals for study abroad participation at the UA.
This position is responsible for implementing, assessing and adapting UA Study Abroad recruitment strategies, maintaining database funnels and developing clear and concise messaging with which to contact prospective study abroad students. In addition, the Recruitment Coordinator supervises a team of student peer advisors tasked with cultivating leads and influencing yield. This position will collaborate with colleagues within UA Global (UAG) and across campus.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Implements recruitment plans that focus on varying study abroad program types, locations, durations and majors for all application cycles • Manages a team of student peer advisors tasked with cultivating leads through call lists, emails, text messages, social media, or in person at all stages of the funnel to ensure application submission and influence yield • Collects and analyzes recruitment funnel data to guide decisions about goals and assess the effectiveness of specific recruitment initiatives • Maintains pipeline of prospective students and tracks student interactions • Coordinates UA Study Abroad social media strategy and engages with social media community on campus to gain exposure for UA Study Abroad and foster engagement • Works with colleagues to continually improve inclusive outreach processes and practices and to coordinate UA Study Abroad participation in on¬ and off campus outreach events and programs • Collaborates with study abroad coordinators and faculty throughout the recruitment funnel • Collaborates with UA Global marketing team and outside agencies to implement lead generation campaigns through various channels including social media and digital advertising • Builds, runs, maintains and assesses communication plans – including targeted messages and campaigns email, social media, text and telephone campaigns – for prospective study abroad students • Develops, utilizes, and stays current with various forms of communication and non-profit marketing tools and strategies for the purpose of meeting study abroad enrollment objectives • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Ability to take initiative and ensure timely follow up on administrative tasks • Ability to handle multiple tasks, deadlines and changing priorities • Knowledge of best practices in higher education and/or study abroad recruitment • Ability to be a team player and help UAG across all units • Ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships and regular communication with colleagues
