About the Opportunity: Reporting into the Sr. Operations Manager, Admission Office of Lifelong Learning, the Enrollment Operations Lead supports all aspects of the application process for international students recruited by the university's channel partners around the globe. This includes evaluating international students' academic records, collecting and reviewing admissions documents for completion, application status report, as well as F-1 visa issuance assistance to the channel partners. The Lead will be responsible for maximizing the efficiency of the application process and overseeing key aspects of the applicant experience. Key areas of focus include (but not limited to) maintaining data integrity within the admissions process, improving operational processes to meet a high level of service for the channel partners. Based in Boston, the Enrollment Management Lead works as part of a highly motivated professional team and is responsible for supporting the conversion of applicants to new international student enrollment from our channel partners for the university. Responsibilities: The Enrollment Operations Lead is also responsible for coordinating the documentation for international application materials arriving from our channel partners, following up on a regular basis with the channel partners directly or through our on-ground NU representatives on required documents for completion of the application, processing applications for review upon completion, facilitating student record creation, communicating application status and decisions to the channel partners and managing the enrollment confirmation process. The Lead role will serve as an interface between multiple university offices such as related admission offices, International Enrollment Management team to provide a channel partner-focused customer service that leads to a high rate of application completion and enrollment conversion.
To effectively coordinate an admission application, this individual will maintain meticulous records of our application requirements and admissions protocols for the various undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs the university offers as well as our channel partners for recruitment. The Enrollment Operations Lead will also be responsible for ensuring a high level of client services by maintaining an efficient, streamlined application process, escalating channel partners' concerns as required, providing training on the use of our application system and providing back up assistance for other service departments as needed.
The successful candidate needs to be a highly self-motivated, team player who will take a proactive approach to problem-solving. We need an individual who is easily acclimated to new systems and procedures and who will seek out ways to improve current processes. Since this individual will serve as a point of contact for several offices/departments within the college such as; the Academic Deans, Directors, Registrar's office, International Enrollment Management office and other admissions office within the university as well as with channel partners and IEM representatives around the globe, he/she must possess strong multi-cultural communication skills and a willingness to collaborate and partner and a professional approach to relationship building. A demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently, in a fast-paced environment, is required.
Qualifications: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree and up to two years' experience in higher education is desired. Proficiency in speaking and writing Mandarin required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Customer service experience is essential. Excellent organizational, counseling and communication skills are required. The candidate will need to be experienced in working with various databases and office applications such as the Microsoft Office suite. A demonstrated sensitivity to the understanding of the needs and concerns of a diverse population is essential.
