The Director of International Enrollment Management is responsible, within the strategic framework established by the Office of Global Engagement and university leadership, for the development and implementation of a strategic international enrollment management plan, as well as daily oversight of all operational level business processes related to international recruitment and admissions at the intensive English, undergraduate, and graduate levels (in coordination with the Graduate School), including but not limited to: recruitment, prospect management, application processing, evaluation of foreign academic credentials, admissions decisions, recruitment agent relationship management, sponsor relationship development and management, English language proficiency, and effective use of information systems and technology.
The Director of International Enrollment Management will set the strategic vision for International Admissions and works closely with the PNW administration to determine the global recruitment strategy for the institution. While leading a team of two (2) full-time staff members, she or he will also work to establish and maintain excitement for an enrollment management culture in OGE, which leverages technology and operational efficiency while growing the university’s international visibility and reputation.
The priorities for the Director of International Enrollment Management include, but are not limited to: (1) Developing and implementing a strategic recruitment and international enrollment management plan, which aligns with the broader university strategic goals; (2) Serving as a catalyst for recruitment and enrollment management best practice; (3) Partnering with the Enrollment Management division of the university and The Graduate School to establish and support an expanded international student enrollment management plan; (4) Raising the visibility and profile of International Admissions and the Office of Global Engagement; (5) Establishing an International Enrollment Management Committee; (6) Leading and mentoring the International Admissions team staff; (7) Representing international admissions and OGE on university-wide committees, task forces, and working groups.
Responsible for the International Admissions functions within OGE, including all day-to-day operational level oversight and responsibility to ensure efficient execution and implementation of all recruitment and yield goals, objectives, and decisions. The Director serves as a catalyst for innovative recruitment and an enrollment culture that leverages technology and promotes operational efficiency.
Recruit new international students by developing and implementing a strategic international enrollment management plan (SIEMP) for the University. The Director is accountable for the targets set forth in that plan. This includes ELP, non-degree, short-term, and degree programs.
Responsible for the development and implementation of an effective and sustained strategic communication and outreach plan with a wide range of internal and external customers, partners, and
stakeholders, including but not limited to academic and administrative units; sponsors; recruitment agents; prospective, current, and former international students and scholars.
Exercises strategic oversight of and responsibility for the 'integration' of all international admissions, international services, programming, and ELP functions, programs, and services, ensuring the ongoing integration of the inbound student functional areas within a shared strategic framework to serve international enrollment. The Director is also the primary liaison to sponsors and agents.
Sets the strategic vision for International Admissions, formulating policies and procedures, establishing benchmarks and goals, providing input on business process analysis, risk management, quality control measures, professional development of staff, providing leadership/oversight of institutional effectiveness within OGE, and collaborative budget management.
Develops data integrity and management policies for all areas related to International Enrollment Management, providing data and analytics to audiences internal and external to OGE that align recruitment activities and goals with the OGE processes and procedures.
Establish and lead an international enrollment management committee to establish appropriate linkages between various administrative and academic units, provide a forum for concerns regarding issues related to the recruitment and acclimation of new international students, and promote the dissemination of information throughout the university regarding IA admissions policies & procedures.
Serves as the chief advocate for IEM and the International Admissions unit, representing the interests of OGE to academic and administrative units, on university committees, working groups, and other decision making bodies, as well as externally to various constituencies, including but not limited to sponsors, federal govt. agencies, peer institutions, professional associations, etc.
Models continuous improvement of business processes and the effective use of systems to streamline all aspects of international admissions, including management of prospect and applicant records, review of foreign academic credentials, evaluation of transfer credit, notification of admissions decisions, and hand-offs among all OGE units.

Master’s degree in higher education, international education, international affairs, international relations, enrollment management/data analytics, or a related field.
5+ years proven experience in progressive management overseeing all operational level details of an international admissions office, including budgeting, IEP and degree marketing, recruiting (active, virtual, and armchair), credential evaluation, strategic enrollment management (data reporting and analytics), project and database management skills, and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. The candidate must have a strong recruitment record.

• Positive attitude and team player. • Knowledge and skill in the area of international recruitment, admissions, IEM, and ROI. • Knowledge of University systems and procedures as they relate to international recruitment, admissions, and retention. • Outstanding written and oral communication skills; strong analytical and interpersonal relations skills. • Excellent computer skills, including the use of databases and skill in managing large datasets to generate reports (enrollment analytics, forecasting, ROI Assessment, etc.). • Ability to train professional and support staff in a variety of content areas related to IEM. • Ability to make presentations to a broad range of constituencies and provide excellent customer service. • Ability to work effectively with prospective/continuing students, parents, alumni, and university colleagues.
