This position will oversee the institutions sponsorship of international employees for H-1B non-immigrant work authorization and employment-based permanent residency with the Department of Labor (DOL) and US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). To exercise independent judgment in interpreting and applying complex federal immigration regulations. To ensure timely petition for and extension of employment authorization benefits for sponsored employees. To draft and implement departmental policies and procedures concerning H-1B employees and the permanent residency process for final review. To develop, promote and advise on departmental programs and services for international employees.
