Lehigh University located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is seeking career minded individuals to join the Iacocca Institute, part of the Office of International Affairs. The Iacocca Institute, founded in 1988, offers a unique portfolio of programs that focus on developing leaders with a deep understanding of different cultures and countries and comfort working across boundaries and borders. The Institute’s flagship program is the Global Village, an immersive intercultural learning experience focused on global business and leadership skills that brings university students and professionals from around the world to Lehigh for five weeks each summer to learn how to work across cultures and lead in a global community. Today, the Global Village alumni network now includes more than 2,200 successful leaders from 135 countries. In addition to the Global Village, the Institute also offers the Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship Intensive for US and international high school students, and Global Village on the Move, which works with global partner organizations to bring programs to cities around the world.
We are seeking individuals with extensive experience with designing and leading intercultural learning experiences to join our team! The Institute is expanding and investing in the development of new programs that build on our long history of leading intercultural development programs. The Program Manager will plan, organize and implement recruitment activities for Iacocca Institute Programs, as well as implement and support Institute partner relationship activities for both internal and external partners.
Organization and implementation of Institute program recruiting and selection efforts
Work with the Institute Director to develop and implement international and domestic recruiting plans for Iacocca programs including Iacocca Global Village and other programs as assigned
Create a calendar timeline for recruiting deadlines and major recruiting dates that should be shared with the Institute team and the Office of International Affairs (OIA); arrange communication with all partners at the start of recruiting season
Organize and deliver presentations to on-campus partners and other educational and professional networks, both in-person and virtually; hold zoom information sessions for potential candidates from partner Universities; determine which, if any, partners and countries should be visited in person
Work with Alumni to identify candidates in target regions and countries; hold information zoom sessions with Global Village Network Chapter Directors
Maintain relationships and manage all follow up with the support of the Institute Coordinator; organize and convene selection board(s) for Global Village admissions and scholarship recommendations, to be later approved by the Director
Manage relationship activities for active Institute partnerships and collaborations
Maintain documents and manage processes related to all Institute Memo of Understanding (MOUs), tracking all agreements, ensuring and supporting proper procedures for creating and updating MOUs, working closely with Institute Director and OIA Global Partnerships Director
Track deliverables and outcomes for each MOU and prepare reports; manage updates and ensure accuracy of partner contact information; develop, organize and implement ongoing partner communication plans, working with the Institute Director
Track and report partner metrics, progress against goals and identify priorities and solutions to improve performance; coordinate contact information inclusion into MoveOn as appropriate
Manage communications and process for active collaborations with internal Lehigh partners, including other OIA divisions, working with the Institute Director and the OIA Director of Communication and Marketing; provide end-to-end management of partner visits to campus and Institute visits to partners; working with the Institute Director on the agenda and coordinating all aspects of the visit and follow-ups
Institute marketing communications plan implementation
Working with the Institute Director and the Director of OIA communications, develop and implement Institute marketing communication plans that position the Institute and supports program and partner recruitment
Working with the Institute Director, Program Directors and the Director of OIA Communications, develop and execute social media and website content strategies
Assist in pre-planning for partner and Alumni visits, conferences and campus events; manage follow-up activities and communications
Alumni relations support
Manage Institute communications and information-sharing with the Global Village Network
Manage and analyze Alumni data, with support from the Institute Coordinator, preparing reports for the Institute Director, team and Alumni Relations
Invite Alumni to appropriate Lehigh events; design process for improving Institute knowledge of Alumni careers and accomplishments
New business development support
Develop and manage partner prospect lists and tracker, working with the Institute Director to prioritize and follow up on promising opportunities
Proactively identify people and institutions that may be of interest to pursue
Determine the timeline required to submit proposals and funding requests and coordinate proposal processes, working with the Institute Director to form a team and acting as liaison and process-owner with internal Lehigh and external collaborators.
