*Reporting to the Director for the Center for Global Engagement, the Assistant Director will provide cultural activities and programming (i.e., international student orientation, cultural events, international student activities), immigration and cultural advising to international students (F-1 and J-1), and support the center's efforts with international student recruitment. *Some travel is required. *Some evening and weekend work.
*Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field. *Must be either a citizen or lawful permanent resident of the United States. *Knowledge and ability to interpret and apply current immigration regulations, knowledge of general academic and cultural adjustment issues. *Must have the ability to coordinate student activities and have excellent communication skills in a cultural setting. *Have an understanding and complete knowledge of current immigration system. *Ability to work some evenings and weekends. *Ability to lift, load and unload recruitment publications and promotional items.
*Master's degree in related field. *3 years of experience in a related field. *Experience living (or extended travel) in another country. *Knowledge of international educational systems.
