The study abroad assistant provides support to the work of the Swarthmore Off-Campus Study office. This is a 4.5 month position.
Essential Responsibilities: Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Project support; Assist with the credit approval process; Communication with affiliated institutions; Advising and pre-departure support for students; Assistance with events such as pre-departure orientations; Assist in hosting visitors from programs and universities; Support for the director, associate director, and other OCS staff members and other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired; Knowledge of a foreign language and experience living, studying, and/or working abroad is desirable. Education abroad advising and administrative experience, preferably in a college or university setting, is desirable. Excellent computer skills including familiarity with Word, Excel, Power Point and databases (knowledge of Terra Dotta software preferred).
