Director of PLACE (Programs for Learning Academic and Community English)

Colorado State University seeks a passionate and entrepreneurial leader to be the Director of PLACE (Programs for Learning Academic and Community English). CSU PLACE offers an intensive English program and academic bridge programs for international students, and innovative language and cultural programs designed for local and international audiences. The Director of PLACE will join a team of dedicated international education professionals in the Office of International Programs, and contribute to the overall internationalization of the University. The Director is responsible for the management and daily operation of all PLACE programs, and will oversee curriculum, instruction, staffing, budgeting, scheduling, communications with partners and sponsors, and student academic support. As a leader in the division of International Programs, the PLACE Director will collaborate with International Programs colleagues to jointly support student recruiting, marketing and communications, student services, student programming, accounting, HR, IT, facilities management, grant-writing, and other special initiatives. The Director will also collaborate with appropriate academic departments, including the Department of English, to ensure alignment with CSU’s standards and requirements that support PLACE faculty and the curriculum. This is a full-time administrative professional position reporting to the Assistant Vice Provost for International Affairs.

Additional Salary Information: $90,000-100,000, plus benefits equaling approximately 25% of salary
