Sannam S4 is seeking an International Officer (North America) to provide recruitment support and partnership development for a leading UK university, Queen Mary University of London.

This role, as a member of Sannam S4’s higher education advisory team will support the University’s international marketing team, focusing on the USA and Canada.
Overview of Role
To enhance the capacity of the University, which is seeking to strengthen its presence in the US and Canada, this role will lead on the development and implementation of outreach, marketing and recruitment strategies across undergraduate, postgraduate, and summer school programmes:
The role will be home-based and reports into Sannam S4’s Partner Success Manager.

Key responsibilities and objectives of the job:
•Act as the main point of contact for prospective students, applicants and their influencers from North America •Work with Queen Mary University of London Schools and central services to increase conversion of enquirers>applicants and applicants>enrolled students •Grow and manage the institution’s engagement with the secondary schools and counsellors across North America •Identifies opportunities – and effectively communicates these opportunities in the form of written strategic plans - to increase market visibility for the University, advising and developing marketing and communication strategies and viable advertising opportunities in the North American market and other means of raising awareness about study at the university. •Provides market insight on North American trends and makes recommendations to support informed decision making for the development of the marketing strategies of these markets. •Assess, implement and annually review suitable entry standards for students from designated markets in collaboration with Admissions Office as well as providing advice during the application cycle as required •Liaises closely with a range of colleagues in the Global Engagement Office and acts as a key contact for this offices’ staff and other university personnel visiting the North America •Represents the university at education and recruitment fairs, conferences and school visits both in person, and virtually if required. Comfortable preparing and delivering presentations to a range of audiences. Confident in the logistical planning and coordination of the travel details with the above events. •Contributes to the development and update of on and offline marketing tools, including social media and presence on relevant online media; and will also contribute in the development of printed materials to support the University’s international recruitment activities. •Liaises with the Alumni Office to develop a system for best utilizing local alumni networks focusing on recruitment activities. •Identify, initiate and help develop and support collaborative relationships with overseas institutions in liaison with academic schools, the International Partnerships and Global Opportunities teams. •Is a team player providing mutual support and encouragement to other team members. •Develops effective internal and external working relationships with a range of campus communities, and external partners, representatives, and professional organizations. •Work with Deputy Head of International Student Recruitment to set a budget for in market activities and achieve objectives within set budget •Perform other such duties as required.
• Knowledge of the higher education industry, with knowledge of the UK higher education system desirable • Knowledge of the North American secondary education systems • Experience in event planning or programme administration • Experience presenting and public speaking • Experience working in student or customer facing roles • Willingness and ability to work independently • Willingness and ability to work off-hours to accommodate time zones covered by the Global Engagement Office • Willingness and ability to travel regularly (across North America and abroad) • Experience of working with international clients • Minimum bachelor’s degree • Proficiency in the use of all MS office applications • Prior experience working within a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system • Holds a US driver's license
